The Turkic people are any of various peoples whose members speak languages in the Turkic family of languages. These people, possibly numbering 150 million in population, are probably the diverse descendants of large groups of tribespeople who originated in Central Asia.

Nomenclature The first mention of the term "Turk" which remains to this day, was by the Gokturks in the 6th century. A letter by the Chinese Emperor written to the Gokturk khan named Isbara in 585 describes him as "the Great Turk khan". The Orhun inscriptions from the same time use the term "Turuk".

Through his marriage to Mary, queen (1382-1385 and 1386-1395) of Hungary, Sigismund became the country's king in 1386 despite opposition among the nobility. In 1396 he organised a crusade to repel the Ottoman Turks, who were threatening Hungary from the south, but the Christian forces were routed at Nicopolis (now Nikopol, Bulgaria).

In European mythology, a dragon is a serpent-like legendary creature. The Latin word draco, as in the constellation Draco, comes directly from Greek drakones. The Dragon is sometimes known by the Nordic word, ormr (Old English wyrm means serpent — draca means dragon). Though a winged creature, the dragon is generally to be found in its chthonic lair, a cave that identifies it as an ancient creature of earth, like the mythic serpent, that was a source of knowledge even in Eden.

Traditional originThe traditional account of his life is considered to have originated in the 4th century. According to it, George was born to a Christian family during the late 3rd century. His father was from Cappadocia and served as an officer of the army. His mother was from Lydda, Palestine. She returned to her native city as a widow along with her young son. She reportedly provided her son with a respectable education.

A beast, in the English language, is most often used as a synonym for animal.
In South African English, often it refers more specifically to a cow or a large antelope, by analogy with the Dutch term beest (q.v. wildebeest, hartebeest).
The Beast is a figure who appears in Christian millennial end times prophecy from the Book of Revelation. Some believe he is synonymous with the Antichrist, while others say the Beast is the Antichrist's independent ally. The Beast is associated with the number 666, the Number of the Beast.

It contains an account of the author, named John in the text, who saw a vision describing future events at the end of the world--involving the final rebellion by Satan at Armageddon, God's final defeat of Satan, and the restoration of peace to the world.

To achieve this, he invited a number of politically influential and militarily useful vassals and nobles for indoctrination into the Order. Included in this ceremony was Vlad II Dracul Vlad II, Dracul (c. 1390 - 1447) was a ruler of Wallachia (located in present day Romania) from 1436 to 1442 and again from 1443 to 1447. He was a member of the royal House of Basarab and son of Mircea cel Batran. The ruler of Wallachia was officially a vassal of the King of Hungary. He was also Frontier Commander with the responsibility of protecting commerce and trade routes from Transylvania to Wallachia for the Roman Catholic Church. Although Vlad II was in favor with the Roman Catholic Church, he is known to have murdered members of the rival royal House of Danesti, a not-so-distant relation to his own father's House of Basarab. The House of Basarab was founded by Basarab I. This is of course how he gained power in Wallachia, upon returning from exile in Transylvania in 1436.

The addition of new members caused the creation of many classes within the Order. Each class had a slight variation on the symbol of the order, although the dragon motif was dominant in each variation. Common changes included the addition of inscriptions like "O quam misericors est Deus" ("Oh, how merciful God is") and "Justus et paciens" ("Justifiably and peacefully"). The order remained prominent until the death of Sigismund in 1437
